General InformationInformation Office Hours • Our office is open from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm 7 days a week during the ski season. The office closes for approximately 2 hours in the middle of the day. Check In/Check Out • Check in is after 4:00 pm • Check out is at 10:00 am • Late Check ins – should you arrive while our office is closed, there will be a welcome package with your name on it located on the bulletin board next to our office. It is very IMPORTANT that you inform us of your anticipated arrival time. • Early Check In – we will accommodate early check ins and late check outs whenever possible. Should we not be able to accommodate your request we can store your bags for the day and can give you a place to change and shower. Please note – late fees are charged if we are not able to accommodate a late check out and you do not check out of your unit by 10:00 am. Parking • We have a small outdoor parking area located in front of the lodge. We allow parking for one car per unit. Please be sure to check with the front desk during storms as we may need to have you move your car so that we can plow. Little Cottonwood Canyon/Four Wheel Drive • Four Wheel Drive vehicles are recommended for Little Cottonwood Canyon where Blackjack is located. We get an average of 500 inches of snow a year and the road is often restricted to 4WD cars only during and after storms. Should you rent a 2WD car you may not be allowed to drive on the roads at Alta and Snowbird. Shuttle service is available - our office can assist you with rates and reservations. Groceries • We recommend that your purchase groceries before traveling up the canyon to Blackjack. There are a number of grocery stores located near the bottom of Little Cottonwood Canyon. In addition, Albertsons Grocery Stores will deliver your groceries to you for a small fee. There is a small general store located at Snowbird where you can pick up milk, juice etc. We provide dish washing liquid, soap, a roll of paper towels and toilet paper.
